In a thread on Hudds board someone reckons Brough has told, players at giants he is signing for us next season as we have offered him a 2 year deal.

If it’s true what would people’s thoughts be

Still capable of changing a game. Good old-fashioned half back; best in the game this century. I'd welcome him, but preferably on a yearly contract.

Not entirely sure how I feel about that. Won’t he be 36 next season?

I thought he’d signed for giants next season? Sure it was announced a few months ago.

Even if he was available I would hope that we stay well away.

Great player and still has something even now.....but we don't need to go for the old retiring types anymore. We can attract young and talented and that's the way we should go.

Not sure about this one TBH.

He is still good enough, there is no doubting that. He proved that at MW.

If we were to replace Finny at the end of the year, then we will need to replace him I feel. I know we have Milky and Rocky, but you still need cover/competition. If we’re replacing him, we need the same type of half back, which he is.

The concern here would be, he is older than Finny.

If there aren’t any better ones out there, then maybe it could be a goer, but only on a 1 year deal.

I thought he was head and shoulders the best player in the Magic weekend game but if we need to make changes we need someone new rather than returning.
