Well some cargo ship!

It was a daft post from a sometimes daft poster who wrong 99% of the time anyway. Thought Liman had a great game found his Hull form and speed last night, if he can keep it up you're in luck.

Lineham has had plenty of flack from Wire fans. Last night though he outpaced Johnstone and Jones Bishop over 90 yards so you may just have overstated your case a little bit.........

I bet you wouldn't have put money on that before the game  .
Tbf to Johnstone he is gradually coming back from a serious near career-ending ACL injury and although he's still fast, as he's shown at times this season. I don't think he's hit his top pace pre-injury yet. Anyway, it's the best game I've seen Linehan have in ages.

....Hardly. Lineham had 20 metres head start ffs and another 10m Johnstone would have caught him! BJB isn't actually as quick as he used to be.

If the pitch were 120 metres long you mean? You might as well say that Mo Farrar would have caught Lineham over 5,000 metres. It's what happens within the white lines that counts, and Lineham's 'start' was due to his own acceleration. As I stated, Lineham has had plenty of flak from Wire fans, no-one is saying he's the quickest man in SL ( although plenty suggested that in his Hull days ) but my original comment was in response to a post that others on here have described as 'daft'.

I think my original post came across a bit more negative towards the guys than intended. No criticism of Lineham or Charnley when they have ball in hand and are running forward at pace. I had hoped we might test them a bit with balls deep behind them to make them turn. Hence cargo ship analogy. :CURTAIN:

I saw him outpace BJB, at no point did I see him outpace Johnstone who was on the opposite wing (do the laws of physics and distance not apply in Warrington) why the need to over do it. If you think he's quicker than Johnstone over the same distance in a foot race you're deluded.

Lineham broke the line in front of the posts, almost as close to Johnstone as to BJB. http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sp ... -wakefield and in any case in your quote of my original post I said the OP 'may have overstated your case a little bit'. A fairly modest defence of Lineham (and Charnley, too, I would suggest).
