Still getting stick from some people for trying to get the game to be played last night! I just can’t believe some people, when we arrived at 6pm bit of snow on pitch but perfectly playable how could anyone predict what would happen an hour later??

It was a still a more playable pitch than that plastic tripe.

Agreed well done MC. As soon as I saw you walking towards the East Stand, snow shovel in hand I rushed my camera out to share a picture with my wife. Great effort to get the game on.

I wonder if Betts will complain about the condition of the pitch, didn't he do that a couple of years ago?

In the afternoon the area was clear of snow in fact the golf club was open and they are usually very cautious. We tried but the weather finally beat us, it was not the playing surface but the quantity of snow that fell in such a short space of time after the kick off.
I give credit to all at the club they gave it their all but you cannot always beat Mother Nature. We did it against Salford but we had time to prepare and snow did not fall after the covers were removed.

It was a very good effort to keep the game on.

I certainly haven't seen snow fall as quickly as that in a long time.

Yes Betts did complain, but he does at pretty much anything
