Though Reece Lyne had a top game last night - his pass to BJB was brilliant - (he's certainly offloading this season) and his defence was excellent. Well done Reece!

When you consider that both Lyn and Arundel were part of the 2015 team the improvement in both has been staggerig.

The experts claimed Reece would never be a centre,, seems they were wrong again

Agree Vasty, Reece and Joe have been solid for us, by the way, I spoke to Reece before the game and jokingly said a couple of tries will do tonight , must have took it on board :D

Had a real good look at him last night and I am amazed how much he has bulked up. He is really starting to become a block busting centre and he did a lot of good stuff last night.

"Back home we got a taxidermy man. He gonna have a heart attack when he see what I brung him."

Re: Huddersfield on Friday : Sat May 27, 2017 8:29 am
At the start of the season we'd have lost that game. A great all round effort to take the 2 points.

Was pleased for Williams to make the winning pass and also kick the difficult goal. He's got the ability and will probably be a better player 'second season'.

On the subject of the referee I've never seen so many blindingly obvious mistakes. The one where he signaled for a handover after the Huddersfield player took it out was embarrassing. Everyone in the ground could see it and credit to the linesman for stepping in. We actually scored off the resulting set after the correct decision was made.

Stuart Dickens said in the bar after that he'd also spoke to the match commissioner regarding welfare of players. He pointed out two chicken wing tackles on Fifita which went unpunished. One was when he got up and lashed out then got a talking to.

I've watched the tries on sky and Williams gave the final pass in three and the kick and knock back for Reece Lynne's second and kicked the winning goal . I hope we can re-sign him because he looks the ideal replacement for Liam Finn.

Just watched the highlights myself. Didn't realise last night how much of a hand Williams had in the tries.

EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN

Re: Huddersfield on Friday : Sat May 27, 2017 11:11 am
I couldn't make the game but just watched the highlights and I don't do the bias thing with the ref. At least two tries could so easily have been ruled out (the one where it was batted back and the first BJB try) and would certainly have gone to the screen had it been on TV.

We get him because other than the Salford game, it was the game that didn't involve a traditionally top team or flying high team. It was mid-table and ideal to learn the ropes. I'm guessing as well the RFL pay out less for travel expenses if he doesn't live far away, and easier for him to get home afterwards.

We'd have lost that game two years ago. Some of the try-line defence looked really poor but to come back shows the real spirit. Looking forward to Monday!

I don't know if 'bias' is the correct word Slugger but there no mistaking the ref was incompetent in some of his decisions. Of course, they are not shown on the match highlights.
