At almost the halfway stage before the split we are currently in 7th place in the table.

We have beaten every team we would expect to beat before the season started (barring Hudds away) and have
acquired a few scalps on he way (Catalans and Saints away)

While Saturdays defeat especially was tough to stomach it's good to see we are mixing it up with the 'bigger' boys,
a narrow defeat at home to the champions and a last gasp defeat away at Warrington are still pretty decent results
all things considered.

Personally at this stage I'm pretty happy, no massive defeats (18 point loss to Cas and 24 point loss to Leeds, both away
which are reasonable defeats I suppose) and some good performances at home.

My only real dissapointment have been the attendances at home. The attendance on Sunday will be an indicator
of our core home support this season, I hope we can get at least 4k plus.

Anyway, onwards and upwards I say!

I think it is more the way we have lost some of these games that fans have found frustrating.

Huddersfield, Warrington, Hull and Wigan were all games we were winning or in the game, but in all switched off for a period of time. We did the same against Salford and Leigh, but we managed to get the points, just. I said at the time that we will do this in games and get beat, we have now a few times.

As for attendances, 2 games on a Thursday and Friday against teams travelling over the pennines doesnt help attendances.

Absolutely right Wildthing. We are in the process of building a successful team and have gone from MPG to 8th in two seasons. This year we are, realistically, a mid table team so, for me, finishing in the top 8 and being competitive in the super 8s would be another sign of building for the future. The next few games are definitely critical for us but, at the moment, we are in exactly the right place. As you say, onwards and upwards.

Of course it was frustrating, I was pig sick Saturday at the end of the game.
But it just feels at times that people have to remember we will have had another great season if we avoid the Middle 8's
again this year - we are still on course to do that, we are not a big club, nor a glamour club, simple as that.

We have a run of 4 very winnable games coming up, 3 wins from 4 I am expecting to win. Any less and my perspective
will be a lot different ... so it's over to the lads now!

Thank god some posters do put it in perspective because apart from Leeds Cas
Games we have looked capable of beating them all although we've come up short. Plenty more to come.

The points difference says it all.Think we are something like -6.
Usually we have been around -200 at this stage.

I agree wholeheartedly.
I'm frustrated at times but I'm enjoying the rugby we are playing and enjoying how the individual players are responding too.
