Cas Tigers Stadium positive news? : Sun Apr 23, 2017 10:45 pm
According to Steve Ferres [sorry this should read Steve Gill, thank you Towns88] he is hinting of positive news of Cas. moving into the new stadium for the 2020 season. Lateral the development company for the Five Towns Park Stadium at Jnct. 32 of the M62 are making a major announcement on 28th April 2017 and Gill is saying all the indications are for good news but he will not release statement until the announcement and he is 100% certain of positive news. And meanwhile the quest for Trinity's new Stadium goes on and on and on.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

This was publicised a couple of months back and posted on here. Why the need to raise it again?

Stop trying to rub it in. I'll believe the new Cas stadium when I see it as well.

Get a grip, read my last line, i was making the point that Wakefield's Community Stadium is a long running saga, but Cas have been able to move swiftly on regards their stadium.

Is it my imagination or has a new stadium for Cas saga not being going on for as long as Trinity? As for Cas moving swiftly: They originally reported they would be playing there this year, yet specific planning has not yet been submitted and they are now talking about 2020.

AJ Bell and Salford will have a tram station by 2020!

Kev mate, this our 2nd attempt at a new stadium and I know you have had a lot false dawns than we have.
I think that when Steve Gill took over as CEO he realised that Tricky Dicky's plan was "pie in the sky" and decided to drop it and explore new avenues (Stainburn) and this seems to have worked out.
I know this won't be welcome by all on here but have other avenues been explored by your club and does there come a time when the Trust (despite all their hard work) say enough is enough at Newmarket.
If its just a matter of pride I don't think The Trust could have done any more but maybe its time to look for other viable alternatives. It seems to have worked for us at Cas.

The date of 2020 at the earliest, although light years in front of Newmarket, was slightly negative news for Cas I thought.

Light years Wollo?

With the comments in here last week, it sounded like we were getting close to the trigger point regarding sqaure metres.

As for the finances and the initial £2m to be funded by us the way I read it. If we were in line to buy the stadium back last year, then to me it would appear that we do have some finances in place.
