26th December 1979 we won away at Cas 26-13.

26th December 1980 we lost at home to Cas 8-23. Does this help?

The first game I ever attendant was due more to the pubs shutting on a Sunday afternoon you could get a beer under the old stand after and during the game so I was carted along from under my mums feet for a few hrs then back home just before opening time.
I remember the smell of wintergreen was over powering Fletcher probably got stretchered off he did in those days and we played Salford who wore a red shirt with a big S on it for a badge in case they forgot they had a huge coloured forward called Colin Dixon and the rest is history

Cheers, was deffo at BV and I thought we lost so must have been Boxing Day 1980.

Doh, yeah that's the one, I thought it was '73 as the tours I thought were every four years, I went four back from the '78 tour.
