They may get their cheque book out & use his wages elsewhere but I doubt they'll target Sam. I think more likely they'll let Patton get the gig full time and let him develop. He looked excellent when he got a chance last season.

It's a filthy trick to play on Wire though. To just not turn up for pre-season and then getting his agent to ring them up because he's scared to make the call. Why didn't he play the 'I'm home sick' card at the end of the season and give Wire a decent amount of time to see how they want to go. Shows him up for what he is ateotd.

On his day a cracking player, but what I've been told carries a load of baggage and if true needs as much money he can get so I don't think Wakey is the club for him.

I dont think he was ever likely to come here and anyway he's still under contract at Warrington.
The issue is more about him trying to walk out of his contract at Warrington and get a gig in Aus.

Along with Solomona at Cas, there appears to be no wish to stick to their contracts, which is just not on.
If the boot was on the other foot, they would probably be trying to sue their employer.
