It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"

If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

Sharing First World problems so you can get it right first time.

I said on the previous page I had no reason to doubt him when he originally told me, but I was interested to know where everyone else is getting this Sky pay nearly the full cap stuff from that keeps getting repeated and that appears to be the source.

I remember Eamon McManus making such a claim in an interview shortly after the deal was agreed.

Well that article plus another one somewhere else I read has had plenty of people believing in rubbish for the last 2 years then MC. Martyn Sadler maybe wants to check his sources better in future then, especially when he's announcing to the RL world, the supposed in's and out's of the Sky deal a couple of years ago..

From the above figures am I right in thinking that sky money accounts for:
£1,495,000 + £100,000 (academy).
Do sky give an extra £100,000 for the foundation or is that the clubs money?

Will it be the same amount for next season?

To quote Mr Carter:
We got 1.495 this year plus 100k towards the academy (which we have to match) and 100k goes into our foundation

Yes the first 2 are correct. On the 3rd point I'm not sure if it's extra, or it comes out of the 1,495,000 million .

I've no idea, but I'd expect them to be the same. Surely everyone gets the same level of funding from sky.

Is it not based on where you finish the season before like football? I remember people calling our game with Widnes the £25,000 game as that was apparently the difference in central funding for 7th and 8th.

Yes it is, you get 25k more for each position up the ladder from 8th.

So, should we try and keep Scruton on a cheaper deal for squad depth or just move on?

Move on. England can do long minutes and is a better prop. As others have said he chose to leave so there should be no way back

Re: Five New Signings : Sun Oct 02, 2016 8:09 am
we need to incease quality in the front row. Fifita is yet to sign so that leaves us with;
England- our best prop
Simon- always looks to have a mistake in him
Arona- solid enough
Hirst - unproven at this level
Walker - sl class? (No)
Yates- sl class? (No)

We need fifita plus a quality proven first grade prop. Problem is who is available within budget?
