BOJ04 does have a point here.
We have done well this year to get into the top 8 and a semi final of the challenge cup.
However, you don't get anywhere in life by standing still.
If we were to pretty much roll with what we have now, in 2017, I think we will definately be in the middle 8s next year.
Leeds are now back on the up, though still nowhere near where they have been, and I think Tim Sheens could turn things around at Hull KR, and would expect them to do better in 2017.
Now, with a lot of the players having contracts extended earlier in the year, which have been warranted, I don't expect us making many signings, cover in the halves, full back and hooker, and ensuring Scruton and Anderson are properly replaced. What I would like to see is improvements, rather than just numbers in a squad.
For me, a half back to come in that is as good as, or better than what we have.
Maybe a utility player that can is maybe a half back, but can drop into hooker or full back.
Super league standard props to replace Anderson and Scruton.
Michael Carter did put a comment on Chessies facebook post last night, reminding us fans and keyboard coaches that there is a salary cap in place.
What I will say with the Salary Cap, and the 31 man squad we had at the start of the season, there is 4 that never pulled on a shirt during 2016. There could be, for me £100-125k worth of salary cap wasted. Did somebody mention a bit of culling earlier on this thread
