Luke Dorn at Cas has been excellent, Ratchford at Wire plus Tomkins (I know he hasn't played much), would be ahead of Max but, he has time on his side AND he's a Wakey lad so, clearly better than the rest

Would rate Max in front of Dorn and Ratchford defensively. Tomkins just got back as you say.

Luke Dorn is one of my favourite players - but his strength is very much in attack and the ability to read and influence a game; defence is not his strongest attribute - so they compensate for him.

Jowitt has lots of development left in him - but he's defensively sound, excellent under the high ball, and is not shy of joining the attack; over the next couple of years, he'll be hot property.

If I'm honest given the choice between Jowitt and shaul, I'd take Jowitt all day long his all round ability far better than that of Shaul.

He's also a great provider, he's set TJ up a few times in particular - could actually play S/O in his later years - the world is his oyster.

Further to your comments Chissitt.

I fully appreciate what you say, and no I wouldn't.

What I will say though is that regarding Grix, on merit now he wouldn't oust any of our backs from getting a regular spot in the team.

I do think our group of backs are rather settled, and apart from maybe Hall and Tansey,there shouldnt be too many changes. If anything, we just lack a real quality centre and some cover at full back.

Personally, I would rather invest more in bringing in an extra half back, plus replacements for Scruton and Anderson. Maybe even improving the back up we have in the front row.

I was thinking more of a contract that is similar to Walton
