Before the kick off tonight as the players where warming up, it was great to see the players get in a huddle & then turn round to applaud the fans. It showed there appreciation to the fans & from then onwards we had an extra man on our side. It would be great if the north stand did that every home game as it should be only Wakey fans in there together. Make the NORTH STAND the HOME STAND.

Agreed. Home supporters only.

The Northstand is a real asset to us, we need to capitalise on it.

The Northstand is definitely not home supporters only and hasn't been all season
It's an issue that the club have got wrong and it SHOULD be more strictly policed.
I dont think anyone has an issue with an odd away supporter in there but, as with the Leeds game, it seems the Northstand is only for home supporters sometimes.
They were happy to prevent Wakefield fans standing on the Western Terrace, where our group had watched for over 25 years but, they wont/dont do the same with the away fans and theis negates the advantage that we should have.

It would be really good to make the North Stand for home supporters only, and for it to be controlled and policed properly.

The main problem though that we have, is when we are up against a side that usually bring a large following, like Leeds or Hull, the West Stand simply isn't big enough. We have Castleford coming up, and with what could be at stake, this could and probably will be a full house

All I can think, and I'm sure I will get eaten alive on this thread, is for when we play teams like Leeds or Hull, do we put them in the East Stand. Seems to be more room there.

This will remain a problem until we move on or renovate the ground. I said it the other day, a new East Stand, and a proper stand on the West Terrace

Sure give a Leeds fan the seat I have paid good money for. Or did you mean make all the folk that have sat there for years and years move en masse next season to other parts of the ground. That's a really good idea !

I knew I would get some stick over that.

To all these in the East Stand I do apologise.

I was just trying to make a suggestion of a solution, for those games where the West Stand, when there is an over flow in there, causing the mix of fans in the North Stand.

Other than to continuing as we are, I can't see any other solution.

Needs stronger stewarding which ultimately costs money. There was one young lad acting as a steward in the North Stand that I saw and he's not exactly in a position to shift thousand of supporters from under a roof, especially considering the weather last Friday. Segregation has been achieved at the ground before so it can be done.

Michael Carter's answer is to get their early so the visiting supporters can't fill it up. Will he be so blasé when Trinity are playing Cas when things get a little heated? I'm guessing not as that could hit him where it really hurts.

Think sometimes it is easier said than done, regarding better stewarding.

Now I don't know what the capacity is in the West Stand these days, but say for argument sake it is 2,000, and the visitors bring 3,000, then where do the other 1,000 go?

Can't cram them all in, as this would impose a major safety issue.

As a club we have a duty of care to protect the safety of both our own, and travelling spectators.
