I don't buy the ban to match the injury theory, but despite the whining of many Widnes fans, that was a really nasty tackle; got to feel for the lad, given his form in the last few games. But it could have been much worse, given the position he ended up in - sticking his arm out probably saved him from something much worse.
Ah Van has been cited for dangerous contact on a number of occasions; he clearly has an issue with his technique...
Gibson had his operation and will be out for an extended period....hope he has a speedy recovery as he was starting to hit some form and score a few tries...

That's tough going. I've ruptured the bicep before without the dislocation and it takes quite a lot of rehab so he's got a lot of work to do.
I still say he is lucky. Could have been a lot worse.
Lets hope your right because it could still be a lot worse, when I fell on my shoulder the impact caused a half inch tear in the infaspinitus muscle, which then caused me to have reconstructive surgery on the shoulder, resulting in 7 month off work with quite painful physio and then subsequent retirement.

You are absolutely right, but I was meaning "could have been worse" that he could have landed on his neck and that would have been life changing not just career changing.
