Widnes fans were not disputing the penalty given (although I think the yellow card was harsh), we were more aggrieved with the fact it wasn’t even going to be a penalty to you until Scott Moore ran from 20 metres to start pushing Ah Van around which caused a melee, which resulted in Ah Van being sin binned. If Scott Moore hadn’t of ran in from 20 metres that wouldn't have been a penalty never mind a yellow card- that is not right. It also set the precedent for the game- run in from 20 metres and start a melee and you get away jack free.

Look at the Ah Van tackle it was very dangerous and I believe he should have had a straight red. As for Moore running in and pushing him off its to be expected..it was proven to be dangerous it dislocated his team mate's shoulder! If Gibson hadn't put his arm out he'd have landed on his head on that hard plastic pitch potentially breaking his neck. Have another look...

Several Widnes players ran in from 20 metres away and did a 'pile on' on top of Moore after his legitimate tackle on Ah Van but that doesn't get a mention does it?
IMHO Widnes thought they could out muscle and rough up a weakened Trinity team putting them off their game but it didn't work and they lost the game with the better team winning in the 79th minute...

Watching the Leeds v Shudds this morning and our friend Eddies informs the viewers that Widnes have had a man sent off and will now have to play the game out against Wakefield with 12 men. He really hates us.

More a case he's a Widnes supporter, although he's never been too fond of us, that's for sure.

He actually acknowledged Trinity exist? Well there's something there at least.

Re: 19 for Widnes : Sat Apr 30, 2016 2:17 pm
I was baffled at the beginning of the second half when we chose to go for two. Especially when Widnes were under the pump, I understand that you take the points if you can in tight games such as this but after we kicked it a few tackles from the kick off we came up with an error and Widnes obviously in good field position put 4 points on the board and converting.
Was it the right decision? I thought that we would of been able to score if not gain a repeat set and worst case scenario turned the ball over on their 10/20.

I understand that put it put us under a lot of pressure, IMO we made it harder for ourselves.
