Would the fact it has staged the Challenge Cup final, possibly put it in the 'iconic' stadium category??

Seems quite a reasonable starting price. Just a shame i'm about £599k short otherwise id be interested

I can't remember what the new lease was (£125,000?), but if you think logically, it's not a bad investment. If it is £125,000 (that's a guess), for example, you've got your money back in five years, whilst sitting on a pile of real estate.

Because then you've given up on Newmarket.

On the other hand, let's say someone has offered to buy Belle Vue, and it's an organisation like the Community Trust, perhaps you have to open it up to the wider public so that you can't be accused of doing undervalue deals, with the Trust being a nonprofit-making body.

I'm only speculating, thinking of all the angles.

I don't know if the supposed covenant exists about providing alternative sporting facilities, but another way of looking at it is that we have five years to build a new ground.
