I maintain that if we stop Brown we stop Widnes!!! For the first time in several seasons lets see some cohesion from our players, and they play for each other, the fans and the club.

Excited for the season to begin, hopefully we get the season off to a win but don't think it'll come by easily. Last year were especially well drilled against us and even though they haven't recruited many they still look to have a strong, settled squad. I believe Danny Tickle injured so that is a positive going into a game against them as he has always been a strike player.

That's a massive bonus, means we might all get home before midnight with not having to wait 30 minutes for him to line up each kick at goal!

Of course you’re right but just occasionally we do get a season worth the wait. 1998, 2004, 2008 and maybe a few I’ve forgotten - I know it's pathetic by Wigan or Saints standards and pretty poor even compared to Cas and they have been relegated twice - but still it’s sweet when it happens and maybe we are due a few scraps from the rich mans table.

Looking at the good years, 2004, 2008, at least 2016 is an even number and seems to fit the pattern quite well.

Thinking about it 2012 wasn't that bad of a year (Finishing in the playoffs!).

I believe that their recent signing fron Newcastle in Australia will also be missing due to his delayed arrival because of a family visa problem.
