So this fantastic pack that was able to get on top of absolutely no one in SL, that managed to win 3 out of 7 middle 8 games is suddenly pretty close to competing for a top 8 spot according to Vastman. Never in the history of RL forums has such rubbish been spouted. We need to sign three rough tough no nonsense aggressive nasty forwards to complement Anakin. Apart from Simon and Anakin our pack looked like a bunch of girls, soft as hell and a bunch of surrender monkeys. Anderson can go for me : big girls blouse.

Include me in that. I think you are talking tosh Belly

We played a game this season where we actually only had one recognised prop in the 17.
Anderson has missed quite a few and we didn't get Mullally until late.
Hand and Gleeson were gap fillers and not up to super league standard but that's what we had to do.
Kavanagh was a slight improvement but was not able to get in the Widnes pack so he is what he is.
We had McShane having to play full minutes because we didn't have any cover.

Our pack now should be
Scruton
Sio
Anderson
Molloy
Kirmond
Simon

Walker (?)
Yates
Ashurst
Godinet/Howarth/Moore (depending what we do with re-signings)

That pack is good enough
We will need another prop to be able to keep Simon at 13 (ideally 2) then Walker or Yates would be 5 prop. England would be ok for me.

The key for me is that a scrum half that can handle 6th tackle plays will keep this pack rolling and not having to do twice the normal work load as has happened this year. We made far fewer mistakes under Brian Smith and suddenly the pack looked a lot better.
He started doing some basic plays rather than fancy ball dropping plays.
He said on Saturday that they'd talked about just taking the tackle on the 6th being better than making a poor kick that gives them a lift down field.

England played over 30 games for Warrington, his first season he partnered Chris hill and they were just few mins from grand final, he played well against St George probably being best player on park that night, but last year got injured frustrated, having to play interchange , he had 4 offers on table, Warrington didn't want him to leave but according to sources he wanted back to Yorkshire, and was happy to go to wakey, he wasn't happy at wire , and he had reason to as he was much better than Simms, but just wasn't as nice and polite, he's an enforcer, not scared of the biff, and if you get the player that appeared in previous season for us, you got a good prop, which are hard to come by,, good luck to him, never let us down,

Would like to see Tupou on wing with a good centre recon he would be better than Carney as he can turn and chase also a good centre with Johnstone.Would not say no to Scott Moor interchange with Godinet and move Sio to loose. The one glaring thing we need is a good 7 who can steer us round the field if we had one against Bulls we would have mullered them mind by same token if they had they would have mullered us. Tim Smith for the most this season has been poor and that's why we have struggled when he did give it a go we were decent. We could do with a mean nasty bullocking prop.

Agree.

Anthony England fits the bill for the prop..would be great if Trinity could afford Dureau.

If the price was right I would have Moi Moi on a one year deal. Bailey, not in a million years.

It's the half back that has been the problem.
Fix that we fix the forwards.

It's been our 3/4s and edge defence that's been the biggest problem our inability to defend especially out wide has given us no chance in most games
