WAKEFIELD TRINITY - The PRIDE of Sporting Wakefield

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS

All well run business would before such momentous decisions take surveys. Consultations.and opinions.
None have been done.
We are faced with it costs too much to stay at bell vue and yet at the same time been told that nothing has been spent on the ground ?
That the rent is too expensive yet this week at Wembley I am told no negotiation was carried out and indeed a very reasonable rent could be achieved.
We have swayed between developing bell vue and Newmarket once we leave then one of the options disappear and chances of developmen are nil.
With limited Information we are told that yourcourt are making offers to buy the ground if now this does not go ahead does that mean any enhanced value we may have achieved to help build Newmarket is thrown away?

I am amazed how people can just say oh dewsbury ..not too bad.and give up our heritage.

Who can rely if past experience is anything to go by on super leagues assurances on our ability to get back or stay in super league if we move and what assurances have been given.
Before it's too late to stay at our wonderful ground ( not the description used buy some I know )

Ok, I don't have any inside information but let me give you my thoughts on the points you make.
Firstly, the cost of staying at Belle Vue is the rent of approx £120k per year, plus the "upkeep" which I believe amounts to about the same as we are told that it costs us £250k per year for BV.
As for negotiations with BOI, we're led to believe that we tried to do that and they wouldn't negotiate, which is why 6 months notice was given. I'm assuming that the person you spoke to at Wembley wasn't the CEO of BOI so the reasonable rent you were told about was probably guesswork, also see the first point, it's not just the rent but the additional costs of maintaining Belle Vue.
The rumour I heard about Yorkcourt's offer to buy BV (and I stress rumour as I don't know) was that they had offered a derisory figure that BOI would never accept and it was a publicity stunt conjured up by the council and Yorkcourt.
As for Dewsbury, I'd rather be at Belle Vue but if we can't afford it, then we can't afford it and we have to find somewhere to play. I'm not sure where else there is, but I'm sure that Michael Carter has looked at all the options and thinks this one makes the most financial sense.

The figure given is in my opinion less than dewsbury. Although I don't know dewsbury actual figer
Where would that leave your views ?
As for spend on the ground Mr carter as said nothing on the ground hence the state of the pitch.
We do have a team of helpers ... perhaps the alleged 130k spent with suppliers would have resulted in some sponsorship?
I agree with you on one point would prefer to stay at belle vue .

factsareus = doesn't really know what's going on and is putting sentiment before what's viable for the club.

Yes think sentiment is right ...and would have thought that is exactly what should be the very essence of what a club should be

Unfortunately sentiment gets you back to square one.
Rebuilding a squad after financial meltdown again.
Unless you know the ins and outs of what MC is doing, then I suggest you keep your master plan on the back burner.

On the subject of not knowing the facts, it's been nearly a month since this news broke and we still don't know Carter's side of the story. Was the offer by York court rejected? There's less than six months to the start of next season and we have no confirmed home ground.

We are going to stay up and be the RFL expansion team by taking all our home games on the 'road' to promote the game to the wider audience.

Pounds in equals pounds out simple you could run the club like that..this is the rational of current management as stated by current board.not saying it's easy but if that is paramount as it would seem to be I am not sure that takes into account long term thinking
are we not allowed others views?
questioning a strategy for the future is it such a heresy ?
This forum has limited representation of the fans of the club and I have yet to speak to anyone if given the choice wouldn't like to stay at Bellevue.and I am not convince a decision to move is best long term.

Without a planned return to the city it isnt.
