Of all the new signings I think this one may be the best or certainly provide the missing link.

This boy can tackle and is brave with it. Did a couple of one on one tackles that stopped Hull's momentum. When you consider that some Hull forwards were making good yards with three Trinity players on their back this was a huge improvement.

Doesn’t look overly creative as yet but as a midfield blocker outstanding. Best tackler technique wise we’ve had for ages. I know I’ll offend Belly but he actually reminded me of Belly.

Sio’s contribution could be pivotal in tight play off games.

I’d be tempted to start with him and then bring McShane on, it may week help stop these poor starts, I’d wager Hulls first try possibly wouldn’t of happened with Sio there. However BS knows better than I.

Looks like he could play Lose Forward to me.

As you say, very good in defence and while not yet showing loads of creativity he looks to have nice hands.

What we may never find out the actual team that should have played last night before Smith pulled out.

If Smith returns I think it may prove hard not to select Miller Godinet or Mc Shane. I therefore agree with avenger in that
the perfect position may be Loose forward

Not sure I'd find it that hard to leave Miller out - one half decent game doesn't make a summer.

I wouldn't play him at loose as a standard. We've made that mistake before having 3 hookers on the field.

Godinet should stay at stand off
Smith and Miller are fighting for SH
McShane and Sio at hooker

I do agree that I would start with Sio. I really liked the look of him. We commented on the big one on one tackles as well.

McShane is overrated at the ebst of times so thank god we've brought this lad in for him to interchange with.

I totally agree about Sio, had more urgency at dummy half and tightened up the defence

I liked McShane but yesterday his tackling in the first 30 miutes was shocking for a pro player. His kicking game is nothing to write about either. Move him on end of season and bring Howarth on with Sio, it might not be the most glamorous of hookers, but its solid and all sides should build from defence. There will be big changes in the squad next year and lots of cap space. With BS in charge (please), a new fitness regime (please) and good off season im already looking forward to next season.
