Sio put in a good tackling stint but his ball distribution from the tackle was near pedestrian, on a couple of occasions he did a full 360 degree rotation before passing to the nearest player to him, an instinctive hooker knows where the ball is going as the player is been tackled. Maybe it was due to his first outing but against any other team with markers waiting to stop the ball getting away he would have been hammered & possibly spilled the ball.Mcshanes distributing of the ball was a hell of a lot faster.

Mcshane had a shocking start. Sio came on and gave us some steel he was my candidate for the man of the match!Sio looked very solid it certainly was a impressive debut.

Give over Sio was no where near mom he did a solid stint in defence and is going to be of value

A good hooker will know which passing options are likely to be available to him but won't know where the balls going until he's read the defensive line which he can't fully complete doing until he's in at dummy half. Even then he's constantly scanning the markers and defenders so he can play on opportunities that develop in front of him. I'd go as far as saying a hooker that's decided where the balls going before the tackles completed is a long way short of being a good hooker.

Steady enough debut. Looked to be seriously blowing but that's something that will come with games and training.

Think he could be a good one, once he's settled in.

So we keep Mcshane on game is over. Sio is certainly candidate for man of match. We were getting killed out there.

It certainly was to start with, but got a bit better.

No need for people to have a pop at McShane, very different players.

McShane IMO has been one of the problems that has stifled our attack. His distribution is slow, his passes range from okay to poor, and his kicking game is non existent. I don't think we would miss him if he moved on.
