I'm sick of hearing about not blaming Webster. A coach has to make the players grow some balls. The result was inevitable, I didn't expect anything less with the injuries. Hammerings like this are understandable as a one off; but Widnes giving us a lesson in rugby too ???
At the end of the day, these players have signed SL contracts so should be able to compete on a more consistent level.
We are performing like a lower rate Championship club at the moment, this has to stop. The buck stops with Webster, it's not harsh, it's the way it is. He needs to get this sorted, I'm sure he's capeable, but at the moment it's a NO from me I'm afraid.

Yes they have that strength in depth Bowen been terrible this season, Flower not featured due to his ban. Ian Thornley is being kept out by Gelling & Sarge? Crosby not needed due to Tautai, Mossop, Patrick, Club. They have one of the strongest squads in the league.
We had Jordan Hand and George Griffin whos been at the club two weeks? 2 teenagers in the squad, who will not be used to the speed of the game. Middles playing big minutes - fatigued always going to leave holes in the defence. Our attack was not good as the halves linked together because they havent had any games together. You speak about confidence, aren't we low on confidence too? 3 previous defeats. Endless list of injuries in key positions - Paea, Anderson, Kirke, Kirmond, Smith, Miller, Lyne, Molloy, Godinet, Ashurst off top of my head. All aside from Kirke would have featured if fit. We literally had 17 players fit. Their confidence would have been much higher than ours, playing at home and know theyre playing a depleted team..

Not that it matters but Thornley is injured, Bowen also struggling hence not playing last night and maybe explains his form. Flower banned yes, so not available then. Crosby not needed? So the other props have played all the other games without rotation, just like ours. There first choice stand off is Powell so their halves also disrupted. Bateman and Gelling only played thanks to late fitness tests, etc etc. Two teams both out of form, low on confidence and both injury hit yet one racks up 50+. I maintain that i never expected a win but given the two teams last night there shouldn't have been such a gap between the sides but there was. Sorry but for me it was just a poor performance and they were beaten between the ears before they stepped foot on the field. We need to stop making excuses and get on with it because next weeks game is a big one.

If you look we didn't put that bad a side out 9 players that were regulars last season add to that Hall and Simone and Sammut back plus 2 good youngsters Johnstone and Crowther. I hope to god they come out and look interested against Catalan because if they don't this big Catalan unit will up their win ratio away from home and should Carney be fit we will be looking at another big score against us.Where has the backs against the wall spirit among the players that was a big plus point of Wakey sides not that long ago gone

I cant believe anyone is getting worked up about last night. We sent a shockingly weak team to an away game against Wigan and got exactly what we deserved and expected. You cannot say they are all professionals so they should automatically be competitive, its nonsense!

At full strength winning an away game at Wigan is a big ask. That is why they are one of the top teams in the Competition. Our team last night was just cannon fodder.

See Theboyem's post above. ^^^^^^^^^^^^
No sane Wakey fan expected to beat Wigan, but to be owned in such an easy manner is simply not acceptable especially after a good hiding from a one man team that is Widnes. Very disheartened about the upcoming fixtures. We need something good to happen ............. .. and quick !!!!
