Widnes great and Wakefield crap about sums it up, for all them sneaky wins you've had over recent seasons you deserved a bloody good pasting

Just got to draw a line under it and move on, most teams have a few shocking performances throughout the season.

It's about all you can do. We royally turned Hull KR over last game and now they've just beaten Wigan, just goes to show.

Re: Wakefield v Widnes : Sun Mar 01, 2015 7:56 pm
To be fair it was a terrible performance, but it was just a bit of a perfect storm for Widnes (who were excellent) We never really had a chance to get into the game.

Every kick they put in was pitch perfect
Every time we made a mistake they ruthlessly punished us for it
We didn't get the bounce of the ball all night
They knocked 7 bells out of Timmy before we'd even played 10 mins
We didn't have any joy out of Child until half way through the second half when we were well beaten and he took some pity on us.

All in all a bad day at the office and hopefully will act as a timely reminder to the players not to start believing their own hype!

Really, If you follow this thread through from the start you will see by most of your posts that you were a little bit more than upset, hoping that Webster sells all his players' not to mention Mathers being better than Hall despite waxing lyrical about him most of the season. Do you think you've cornered the market in disappointment? all the fans are hurting and angry at what's happened, difference is they cope with it like adults', and fwiw nobody has even mentioned you, they have just suffered in silence at your rantings' get over yourself.

Not going to happen. Webster said on radio Leeds on way home that there's no chance of that due to short turnaround. He did say it may be more of a mental thing that needs to happen this week.

Re: Wakefield v Widnes : Sun Mar 01, 2015 8:33 pm
A hugely disappointing day. Widnes just seemed to want it more than we did. They were much faster than us in defence and strong running in attack. We didn't cope with them early on and just seemed to get worse the more they got on top. The couple of times that we got penalties and started sets in their half we scored. We just made so many errors that we didn't get to start many sets, let alone in their half.

Bad day at the office, but we have to move on. It is still 2 wins from 3 and that's probably better than we expected before the season started. We just need to see a massive improvement on Friday, and I hope that Webster is strong enough to get them to react.

I didn't say I hope Webster sells his players, I hope he flogs them. I look back at my posts and I see I was just as upset and annoyed as quite a few other posters on here. As for my 'rantings' again, I'm not the only one who had 'rants'. If anyone needs to get over themselves it's you, because your constant obsessions of shooting down (not debating) everything I say its become more than tiresome it's become really sad.

I'll bet the last time a Widnes team ran that many points past Wakefield it contained Martin Offiah, Andy Currier and Jonathan Davies. The fact that the current Widnes crew haven't one player anywhere near that class just shows what a set of carthorses turned out in Red, White and Blue today.

I have more faith in Webster to get a reaction on Friday than if it was Agar.
Today we were ok for about 15 mins then we rushed and pushed everything, leading to us not having the ball for about 10 mins.
In this time Widnes built pressure and forced errors to go 22-0 up.
Tim never recovered from fluffing Mellors try.
Disappointing but more disappointed with the fans that were leaving with 18 mins to go!

Hope we bring in Simon, Ashurst and recall Molloy from Sheffield to give a run against St.Helens.
