Carter said last night on twitter that he'd heard 4 clubs are interested in him and thankfully we are not one of them. Saw the the following stats floating about and it really does beggar belief. Complete waste of a great amount of talent.

In 7 years:

110 games played
102 games suspended
£3100 paid in fines

Absolutely unplayable on his day but, there aren't enough of them

Given the great people we have had associated with our club do we really need someone with Hocks CV. I agree a great player on his day but not my choice as someone who you think of when you think of WTW.

I don't want him here either but, IF he did sign for us and we finished 4/5th in the league and won the Challenge Cup, his status would quickly change.

It's not going to happen but sport's fans in general are very, very fickle and everything is forgotten (or tolerated) if a club is successful.

Hock is a great talent but unfortunately has some social issus he does not seem to be able to resolve.
It would be great to be the team to turn him around but in Wakefield's case
1) We have a lot of forwards so don't need the cover
2) We have a good team spirit so why add something that will potentially upset that
3) Without John Kear, I don't think our club is the club to turn him around anyway

Money would be an issue, although he has been released, he would still want a big wedge.
We have been able to pick Arundel and Miller up due to them getting paid off.
Managed to dodge him when he last asked for a transfer, no need to upset the squad after such a promising start.
