HDP Occupational Therapy Ltd Predictions League 2015 : Sun Feb 01, 2015 2:50 am
[*]Despite popular demandIT'S BACK!
A warm welcome to our new Finance Director: wrencat1873
Hopefully, he will be directing some of your finances to the chosen charity pretty soon.
If anyone wants the title sponsor rights or wishes to offer prizes, please pm me. More details to folllow
Prove your RL Knowledge. Put your money where your mouth is (in NGB4C's case that'll be a lot of money )
It's just a bit of fun, but with a purpose of raising a bit of cash for a charity, as selected by participants.
We suggest £5, but the more the merrier. Contact our shiny new Finance Director by pm for payment options. (not asked him yet if he does paypal??).
I propose a payment deadline of the 3rd home game of the season (Huddersfield, Sunday 22nd March).
For the regulars, it's just like last year, but with some enforced changes for the "new era".
There'll only be 6 fixtures per week, so the likelihood and significance of bonus points is increased.
I propose that after round 23 we continue with whichever group of 8 Trinity are in. This will mean only 4 fixtures per week for the last 7 rounds, but it should make for a more exciting climax.
The world club challenge, play-off and million pound game fixtures are not included in the league.
There will also be a separate cup competition starting when Trinity join the rounds.
As there may be some newbies, some rules:
Fixtures
I'll post the fixtures for each round on this thread.
Just pick which team you think will win for each fixture through the course of the season.
You can just to copy & paste the list from a previous poster and highlight/colour your choices
(their highlights/colours are not copied)
e.g.
Round 1
Widnes v Wigan
St Helens v Catalans
Castleford v Wakefield
Huddersfield v Hull FC
Hull KR v Leeds
Warrington v Salford
or if it's easier, just type in:
Widnes
Catalans
Wakefield
Hull FC
Hull KR
Salford
using the same fixture order helps to minimise mistakes
Scoring
You get 2 points if you're right, 0 points if you're wrong.
5 points for correctly predicting a draw
A bonus 2 points if you predict all the fixtures correctly in one round.
Results
I'll post the points table each week.
Deadline
The deadline for posting is kick-off time for the first fixture.
You can post late, but games that have already started won't count.
Byes
We have a maximum of 2 'bye' rounds through the season like previous years, where you'll be awarded 4 points should you forget to post because you have a life or something. It's just to try to keep people playing if they accidentally miss a week or two.
If you're going away, feel free to post predictions for upcoming weeks.
Any questions or obvious errors, post on here or pm me.
Best of Luck,
Coco
