Our avarage gate this season for the league is 8057. If thats what we can do after the last couple of seasons we really are are on the verge of something special, we will be able to spend more on the team and hopefully this will allow to be more than challenges for the top 8 in seasons to come. With an excellent youth policy starting to bear fruit I cannot see anything other than a rosey future coupled I hope with a new venue the future is making me feel very happy.

Does anyone know a site where averages are maintained just out of interest to see how we fare on crowds.

They used to be shown on here (under SUBSITES - Rugby League Stats), but the page currently seems to be in the process of reconstruction.

Mmmmm, gates may have gone up no doubt, but with very hefty price reductions on S/T and Match day tickets, increased rent at BV and players inflation I seriously doubt revenue has gone up. Not being a wet blanket, the club is getting it right as much as they can before the zealots come out - it's just plain maths.

Don't think you will see increased spending in a big way until NM and it's hospitality and sponsoring potential kicks into full gear - and that IMHO is 5 years off.

As Vastman says it doesn't equate exactly to more money, but it is a tick in the Franchise box.

Lets hope we worked the maths out better than Bradford.

Its going to be tough to get an average 8k by end of season with a tv game on Monday night in the mix. That could be low, with Sts to follow who I can't think have a great support and then Widnes at the end.
The last one may be the big one. Depends whether Widnes have anything to play for.

It's a great start; it's now down to Mr Glover and co to devise some strategies to carry these people with us into next season and beyond, whilst eeking a bit more cash out of them.

you wont have jumped above Saints with them moving to Langtree Park

I was at the game yesterday and I've not seen so many at Bellue Vue for years when Wigan have visted.
Your last three home games v Leeds, Saints and Widnes should up that average.
Leeds should be bigger than the Wigan game, Saints about the same and Widnes could be the same if your fans turn out as last game of the season.
If next year Glover can increase this to 8500 together with tidy accounts then you should be ok licence wise.
They are not going to throw out of SL a club averaging 8500 per game no matter the state of your ground. Which the cover has improved massively.

Leeds on telly so not that big.

However, I just did a quick count on our neighbours in the league.
Salford are still low. Didn't even count
Cas are averaging 6,984. They have us to play and Warrington but also have London and catalan so won't much higher in average
Hudds are on 7,913. They have Leeds and Bulls to play so might give them a big lift but have catalan as well.
Hull KR 7,353, but they have Hull Wigan and Leeds to play so will move up no doubt.
Catalan have a massive leap to 9,628 with a lot of games still to play at home. They will be over 10k I reckon the way they are going.
Sts are massive leap. Didn't count when I saw they got 13k for catalan.

So we are not bad at all really and Newmarket will hopefully help bring crowds as well as money.
