I'm comparing tonight to our last league visit there 10 months ago when we got hammered, so to be aggrieved we didn't win against a Leeds side who were in desperate need for a result shows we are heading in the right direction

For sure and after a few wins we are guilty of getting ahead of ourselves, its just maybe a lost two points tonight thats annoying.

4 points dropped against Wire and Leeds. Bloody annoyed. Tighten up the defence and keep up with the good attack and we'll see off the bulls

Yeah the game was there for the taking but to be fair, to score 40 at Headingley is no mean feat and the game could have easily gone our way, we were just slightly more error prone than Leeds. Mathers needs to stop these brainfarts as well, really worrying habit in a FB! But having said that, enjoyed the game and some of our attacking play was superb so in summary, i'm a fairly happy camper. Bring on the Bulls!

Two points lost, plain and simple!!! Whilst it's nic to see such attacking flair you cannot give Leeds 3 or 4 tries. We should have had the game in the bag at HT. We let Leeds into it and they got a sniff and took their chance. I'd be embarrassed to lose a game like that.

Leeds should have been stuffed tonight. We shouldn't have won last week against Hull after gifting them so many tries. We did the same today but lost. Hopefully we'll learn quickly

To get to 20 Points this season would be a real marker for next year. We should be on 16 at least but for a buffoon of a ref and today's throw away

Yeah but to be fair, the Hull win was a "throw away" in their eyes. It's swings and roundabouts really.

On a positive note, Amor was nothing short of barnstorming and I thought Smith had another cracking game. I agree that it is definitely a missed opportunity but in realistically they still had the likes of Sinfield, Burrow, Hall et al playing against us.

Re: What a missed opportunity...... : Mon Jun 18, 2012 10:00 pm
Definitely a game that got away. 40 points away from home should be enough on most occasions. With the score at 12-12 the game always looked like it was going to be 'he who makes the least errors wins'. We made 2 or 3 absolute howlers that gifted them points tonight. I've come away disappointed but not angry! I'd be more worried as a Leeds fan, nearly 100 points conceded in the last 2 home fixtures, make it nearly 140 points in the last 3 games if you include the Warrington away defeat.

Have to agree that we look a much better side in attack now and our overseas signings are starting to settle in especially Mellars, Collis and Smith. Still not decided on Southern though and not 100% certain he'll be with us next season.
