He shines in the qualifiers where as our two full backs have assisted with two back to back top five finishes. Says it all. I do think he's decent but I've no doubt you'd round on him as soon as he misses a last minute conversion to earn a point for his side.
This. To my knowledge NGBC hasn't rated one FB we've had in all the years I've been on here, going back to Blaymire.

I could give you a thousand reasons, not that I need to justify my opinions to such as you However, Last year we missed the play offs by a drop goal in the Hull match He would have kicked that drop goal, he is exceptional under pressure Had we not missed that drop goal would have made the play offs This year we lost marginally multiple times He would have made the difference
So would Hampshire. We've already got the guy to plug that gap.

He might have kicked a DG against Hull. If he didn't maybe he'd have cleared the ball against Sts?

It's the same as when you talk on here like it's factual but it just your opinion, that's my opinion
That opinion is based on my playing the game and watching from the 80s to the point of obsession. O'Brien would have kicked the drop, he's kicked several under massive pressure and from more difficult positions
Plenty of people will agree both ways

He might have kicked a few drop goals when the chips were down but to say statements like
He would have kicked that drop goal, he is exceptional under pressure
&
This year we lost marginally multiple times He would have made the difference
is absolutely pure conjecture. Nothing to do with how many games you've watched or played in imo. Surely it'd be better to say you think he'd probably have won us a couple of games from DG's instead of making a thing we will never know about factual?
