Seems Toronto have not paid the fee, we have asked RFL to cancel registration.
Whether that will make him ours again or a free agent, not sure.

I thought Canadians were supposed to be decent folk, like the Danish.

As HID says though, for MCBs sake I hope it's not true.

If this is true, you've got to feel for the lad

Certainly don't blame the club for trying to cancel the registration.

What kind of message though could this send out about Toronto, and the promoting of our sport, to the far reaches of the globe, to some possibly at the expense of the heartlands clubs.

All this too, when everything seemed all rosy, with Toronto and their finances too.

They haven't paid the transfer, whether MCB has had some cash is not known, its what happens if he is de-registered that is worrying.
Can he even join another club after deadline? can we reregister him?
If he rejoins us, have we spent his wages elsewhere, bonus offers etc?

Just been reading about this on Mark Wilson's Twitter page(sports journalist)

There has been some responses on this with people saying this isn't the first occurrence. Whether there is any truth in this I don't know.

If it is true, it certainly doesn't send the right messages out regarding expansion, and if the RFL are to happily allow this to happen, absolutely stinks

If the transfer window is shut, will the RFL allow MCB move on to another willing club???

From Aaron Bower :Told the fee is not that substantial - talking less than £10,000. But Wakefield still yet to see it and thus they’ve turned to the RFL.

Surely some administration error, cause if Toronto are hard up for £10k then the shiny new play thing over the pond may not be all that it's cracked up to be.
