Such a shame we missed out on Hastings and Lam - with a decent kicking game we'd be two or three wins better off.

We do have an excellent left side attack now though. I still think we'll be in a relegation battle this year but hopefully the win can kickstart us.

Seriously , I worry for the game in general , people are less interested in RL these days which is a shame considering its the greatest game there is.

£27is ridiculous . I remember leigh playing Batley in the last game before they were promoted to SL and there was nearly 10k on , yes they handed out lots of free tickets but surely we want more people in attendance than extorting the die hards . Its no wonder the fans are 50/50's

Ive only been to about 10 games in 4-5 years for the same reasons

family of 4 to a Leigh game = £70 + hotdog and programme and youve done in £100 to watch what might be a disinterested team . My first game watching Leigh was £1 which was the same price as Wigan probably about 1985 , before that they just lifted me over the turn styles .

The whole game is going backwards imo . This isn't a criticism of wigan or the fans , Saints attendances haven't been much better , Cas v Saints a possible top 2 clash was only 8k .

Most clubs are up crowd wise this year. We're one of the few who are down. If clubs are taking baby steps in the right direction then that's good enough for me - you can't expect clubs to double their crowds in one year.

It used to be. I wouldn't recommend it to a neutral now, which goes to show how far the standard has fallen.

Hopefully this will do their confidence a world of good, win next week and and let's see if it lifts the doom and gloom that's surrounding the place.

Second week running that our best patch coincided with Shorrocks being on the field. It was a bit of a surprise to see him subbed.
