I don't think anyone was outstanding but if Farrell gets a 7 then a lot of others get a 6 or less. I thought he had a better game then Greenwood for example and I don't think Powell deserves the same rating as either of them just for effort. I think your ratings are a bit too uniform. I am not saying anyone deserves higher but I think some deserve lower.

I don't know how to rate outside back when they hardly got a descent pass all night.

Locky was outstanding again tonight.

I’m not sure why our own fans don’t see it let alone opposition fans.

Watch what happens for the 30 minutes he isn’t on the field tonight.

Williams was great, but he was great because our Captain generates time and space for him in the middle.

Maybe give us your ratings rather than just disagreeing with mine?

You rate the outside backs on what they did under the circumstances. All of them except Davies did a okish job without great service. Thats all you can ask of them if they dont get the passes. Davies main strength is his carries and he didnt produce them plus he gifted them a try so he deserves a low score and i say that as a big fan of his. Last season he was making big metres and getting us on the front front with fast PTB every carry, not this season so far, he looks a shadow of last year.

I thought our back row was really good, Greenwood has been a really good signing considering he sat almost a full season in Oz.
Tommy and Powell are too similar for me so I would like to see Sammut given a run in the side. Everyone had Drinkwater down as not good enough for the Superleague but he came back well last year, hope Sammut can have a similar impact.

Davies is showing his limitations at the moment. He’s such an honest worker and he’s been a fans favourite since day one but he lacks basic rugby league handling skills. I said last season I didn’t understand how he avoided the criticism Marshall seems to get for mistakes under the high ball. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him take one in an attacking sense and defensively he struggles to take them in any traffic. I’ve always seen him as a lad who snatches at chances in attack as well and there’s been times when he bombs some absolute sitters when he should score.

His issue at the minute is that he’s probably the best winger in the league from a work rate point of view when taking the ball from our end but that was under Wane. Now he’s under Lam and there seems to have been a shift towards our forwards taking the ball off our line. It lessens his impact and highlights his weaknesses. I think he’s short on confidence as well which isn’t helping but once Manfredi and Burgess are back it’s tough to see him keeping a place unless there’s a pretty big turnaround.

Back 3-
Zak is fantastic in defence, looks lost in attacking set moves. Hopefully They'll be working around the clock to build on this, no modern rugby league a second pivot fb is crucial.
Davies, an off game. Always looks lively but had too many errors in his game.
Marshall, same old same old, with ball in hand in open space he's a joy to watch, sadly that's about it. Seemed to be a penalty machine last night. Offered nothing positive.

Centres-
Gilly, amazing pace in cover defence, worked hard, was solid, did enough
Sarg, was stepping up to the challenge against a top centre, was looking good pre-injury.

Pivots-
Williams was good, growing into the idea of being more creative, was pleased.
Tommy, not a 7 really, but did a job.

Dummy half:
Powell was Powell, high work rate, tackles all day long, nothing particularly creative from DH, yet solid. You know what you're gonna get from him.

Middles-
Lockers-The most skilful middle in RL. The team lifts when he's on the pitch. Class act, we still need him
Flower-solid
Clubb-past it. Has been for about 3 seasons. Does a job.
Hamlin-Improving all the time, runs hard, hits hard, developing well
Bullock-Happy with his development in a new team in a new league, he'll get fitter and keep up the pace as the season progresses.
Nav-Needs to build confidence. Slow start to 2019

Outside edges
Faz, good performance. Great professional, high work rate, one of the first names on the team sheet.
Greenwood. He's class. Big strong runner who always looks dangerous hitting holes running the right channels.
Isa-covered well when he came on to replace Sarge.

It was by no means polished but last night gave us reasons to be optimistic. Hardaker is growing into the side and settling in well. We can expect big things from him.
Williams was clinical on both sides of the pitch which was great to see. Lockers was his usual, excellent self and Farrell was much better than last week on the right. Greenwood excites me, when that edge clicks it will be devastating.
Flower was very good and carried on from last week where he was outstanding. We seem to have unearthed a gem with Bullock and Hamlin continues to improve.
We still have Manfredi and Burgess to come in and Sammut will offer us a better long kicking game.
Off the mark (or at least back on it)!

Takeaways

Lockers is still our best player, superb passing last night. One to Greenwood for Williams try, one for Bullock for his, one to Naverette

Nice to see Williams popping up on the right aswell as the left

Flower has had a great start to the year.

Hardakers attack isn’t there yet.

I’d bring Sammut in to replace Naverrete next week.

Usually I'm not too far off your own opinions
Still made good yards coming away from his line last night and although I agree he has the odd drop in him from a high ball pint of view I don't agree with any of the other criticisms.

I agree with pretty much all of this, I know I'm in the minority here but I think Davies and Escare are really overrated by our fans. And I think Sarge and Marshall are overly and often unfairly criticised by our fans.

That said I like all of our players and want them to do well, it's just my own personal observations and obviously happy for people to disagree with me.

Faz was everywhere last night. Perhaps he was drifting towards the left a bit at times but he blocked a few holes. A couple of times we left gaps and only an immense effort got us back.
If we are going to offload we need to be expecting it. A couple of early offloads shot along the grounds.
Good to see the blocking/ shepherding being policed by the ref.
