In the last eleven years the Wigan academy teams have reached ten Grand Finals.

In a similar time span Wigans first team have appeared in six Grand Finals and three Challenge Cup finals.

It's a great testament to the management, scouting and coaching set up the club. One that needs to be continued if we are to maintain our dominant position.
is the Chairmaker still about? He was a right card !!

Would like to see Kibula go out on loan to Swinton. Getting knocked about a bit by bigger blokes might bring out that aggression he needs in defence to kick on. You see it occasionally see it when he is fouled or makes a mistake but he needs to add more mongrel to his game.

I worry about the level of expectation on that kid just because of his size. Ask Gil Dudson, Karl Pryce, Wayne Mcdonald etc about size translating into talent.

He has the talent when he has got the ball; good rugby brain, can pass, good step and speed for a big lad and a good short kicking game, it's what he does when the other team has the ball that needs to improve for him to make it.

Kibula has the type of skills that any of those players would have killed for but he does seem to have too little of the mongrel in him. Perhaps it will take the right kind of coach to bring it out.

If you could combine Kibula and Partington you would have a world class player.
SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Partington could really step up next year, reminds me very much of Sutton. Not the biggest or best forward but got a lot of mongrel in him and constantly willing to do the hard yards and tackles
