I have just read the story about football associations running training camps for unattached professional players to help them get a deal. Could we adapt this idea for rugby league? I would suggest that the club/ RFL could be looking to target young RU players who have not been offered contracts at the end of their season. I know that American Football already holds open trials that some Rugby players have attended and one Australian TV show was also based on the same idea.
We already have a reasonable history of finding new players in London but I am sure that there is a lot of talent out there that is never tapped, both in this country and abroad.

I've seen Wakefield are running open trials for lads who have slipped through the net. Could be something in it.
