I wont say what i want to say after watching that shambolic performance but i must single out Tom Davies for his effort. The guy was the best player on the field on a losing side. What an effort.

Kidding here? Tom Davies was nowhere near the best player for Wigan. I’d put him amongst one of the worst personally!

Agreed, Bateman was head and shoulders above anything else in a Wigan shirt, Tomkins running a close second.

I’d second that. Tomkins was the only creative player in anWigan shirt.

I can’t fault the effort and commitment of a single player, I also don’t think we were as far off as some will no doubt suggest. St Helens are a good and crucially confident team and were well worth the win overall. Their props were better than ours but the biggest single difference was Roby. As a Wigan fan i look forward to the day he retires. From our point of view I think Woods showed his inexperience and Powell showed his limitations. Taking Tomkins out of that team and putting Hardaker in we create absolutely nothing which worries me for next season.

Agreed. Hankinson went well as well, few mistakes but he wasn’t a sh**show like some were predicting.

I'd probably reverse that with Tompkins just ahead of Bateman. Surely he should have been in the 4 for the MOM vote.
