Now that we know Leuluai hasn’t been picked for NZ, we can start to think about Friday’s game at Cas. Obviously without Lockers,Bateman and Williams with England duty and Sutton & Burgess through injury isn’t ideal but we still plenty of quality to go and have a good dig. How do you think we’ll line up? I’ve gone as follows.

It sounded like Farrell would probably miss this when he picked up the injury so I wouldn’t bank on him being available. Wane spokevabout ‘debuts’ in his post match interview on Wigan TV after the Hull game so I’m guessing guys like Paisley and Kibula may come in to the frame.

It’s a shame Jack Wells seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. I had high hopes for him this season but I presume he’s been injured all year? They never really bother saying for some reason.

It’s going to be two teams missing lots of players. On Sunday we were without Gale, Roberts, Eden, Ellis, Millington and Watts (though some may be back) and during the Hull KR game we lost McMeekan (hamstring), Milner (back injury), Wardle (dislocated shoulder) and Sene-Lefao (ankle currently in a boot, so looks like at least a few weeks). McShane was on the bench last week and wouldn’t have been used if others had not picked up injuries.

I know Wane's hand is being forced by the international and injuries to a degree but out of whoever is left he has got to pick the ones with some SL experience. Giving debut's to players in a depleted side away at Cas (regardless of their injury situation) does not sound sensible to me. It is however right out of the Wane "Roy of the Rovers" coaching manual where he flings in a team of kids.

I suppose when Wane does go, one upside will be that we'll not have to put up with your daily jeremiads about how awful he is, and how he hasn't got a clue.

In this particular case, SW is not responsible for players getting injured.

I would definitely like to see Kibula given a run in this game. No one else in that squad of forwards is capable of providing any sort of link play and, without Lockers, we have shown we struggle when we don't have that in our armoury. Big ask for the young man but I feel his offloading game could give us something extra.

A gamble, certainly, but one I'd like to see.
