I know Shorrocks is coming back from serious injuries but at the minute he looks very quiet and Woods looks the far more dominant half.

I’d love to see Woods and Hamlin get a shot before too long.

I see Woods as Sean O'Loughlins natural replacement . Maybe not quick enough for the halves but big enough to play at loose forward, with great hands and the added bonus of a kicking game

The game is moving away from loose forwards who act as a third pivot, towards using them as an extra battering ram with an offload. We would be wise to follow suit when Lockers calls it a day IMO, particularly as we have small second rowers.

Would that not be us tagging on to the concept quite late though? I’m not saying it’s not the correct call but the game evolves and these ‘fashionable’ moves like playing an extra mobile prop as a loose forward come and go.

I totally agree we couldn’t do it (transform Woods in to a ball playing Loose) with a second row pairing of Bateman and Farrell but if Bateman goes then it may be an option when Lockers does call it quits (which won’t be at the end if this season by the sounds of things anyway).

That’s why I quite the idea of Samy Kibula there in a couple of years time. Big lad but with pace and good passing/offload skills

As far as Kibula is concerned, it's a case of wait and see, I think. I do regret the all too widespread passing of the ball-playing 13, almost extinct in the NRL as well; Glenn Stewart was probably the last candidate.

Have the club done away with the man responsible for giving updates on the 16’s, 19’s and reserves on social media?

Hardly here a peep so far this season on what’s going on. That’s so poor for a club the size of ours and one famed for it’s youth development.

Finished 18-14 to the bulls. Very competitive game with bulls edging it with a late try
