Have to say that the widely accepted wisdom pre-season, both here and elsewhere, that it was *obvious* that Sam T *had* to play in the halves is looking a little less self-evident now.

Not from me. I always said he should stay at #1 and utilise Escare in the halves. Nice problem to have.

Still early days yet if we can get more out of Escare in the halfs it will cause team problems, I am one for keeping Tomkins at fullback. The link he provides to the outside backs is the best in the league at the moment ( forget the interception pass). A we need are centres passing to the wings, they are either moving outside too soon taking up the wingers space or cutting back inside

I've always thought we missed out by not signing Joel Moon to replace Carmont.

Thornley didnt work out, still hoping that Gildart will develop into that class centre we have missed since Carmont and Gleeson . I cant see Bateman developing the passing game needed, he was causing problems with his runs last night but they were usually running back inside

And yet Leeds fans moan that Moon never passes to Ryan Hall!

Personally I like Moon a lot, though, he is a skillful player.

A Darrell Goulding would do, genuine right side centre who put tries on a plate for Charnley.

Your joking right?, one of the greediest centres we've had, why would you want him over the Superb Carmont or the mercurial Gleason?

Sorry Whiffer, Goulding was far from greedy. He put Charnley in for a shed full of tries! What I would say is that the space was created inside him and it was mostly a case of draw the man and pass. I agree Carmont and Gleason were better centres though.
