But you did say that “A win must have really pi$$ed off some”. I can’t imagine one Wigan fan who would in any way be annoyed or peed off by a good win.

To be fair Andy, I think it was obvious he was making a point regarding the unnecessary pessimism on these boards at times rather than meaning it literally. I, for one, am with him if only for the reason that it sucks the enjoyment out of supporting the team. Oh for the days of fans, rather than the internet experts we seem to have these days!

I’m not too sure. Maybe not from here but on the other forum people post on, I could see there being one or two with mixed feelings tbh.

I probably could have worded it better.... But the miserable, perpetually moaning, negative posters know who they are.... I often picture them as the guy who was sat in the bar in the underrated TV series "Early Doors"... Tommy.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.

Coincidentally, Tommy from Early Doors is a Wigan fan. He was played by Rodney Litchfield-born and bred Wiganer who lives in Swinley

Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"

I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

7 of us going. Best comedy show ever as far as I'm concerned. "What's the capital of Chile?" To which Joan replied at the pub quiz "is it Con Carne Eddie?" Is one of the funniest jokes I've ever heard on tv
