I only caught the last ten but that looked a sizeable set of lads. Any info on how the game went? I am waiting for the whole thing on Wigan TV.

Marshall looked good (as you’d expect). Navarrete was good too. Woods kicked very well and landed 7/10 goals. Ganson was very effective. To be fair the we’re all good and totally outplayed London.

They played well. The noticeable thing was the natural size of the team. All the pack played well but Ganson and Woods guided them around and when Kibula was at 13 they looked a pretty good triangle.
Marshall was sharp, Higinson the same both looking a real handful on the left edge.
Naverette looked strong and up for it. You could go on and mention good things that they all did. Im sure Bretherton came off and was on crutches second half(he was off the pitch). Cant recall his name but the young lad who came on with him showed him how to take ball into contact.
Both their tries came down our right which I rhink the lads will be disapointed with. Good performance but the real thing is the lads looked big and in good condition.

I saw some Twitter exchanges about this. Somebody criticised the £20 fee to watch what he called a reserve fixture and and the response was the pitch cost £20,000. The club’s argument was that £20 to watch a one off match every year on ‘the world’s most expensive real estate’ is reasonable.

Good rugby player Woods.
Demands a lot of the ball and got very good hands.
I recall an interview last year where one of the Wigan players was jesting how slow Woods is well he may not be fast paced but he very fast in thought and identifying gaps. If Powell doesn't perform he could be the one to step up.
Obviously only a friendly but I thinks Woods has something about him.

He's not been mentioned yet but Craig Mullen was excellent at fullback. Made good kick returns, passed well and even put in some nice kicks. It's good to have a ball player at fullback who also has a great running game.
Ben Kilner off the bench was excellent too.
