Trying get my fingers to work after them freezing during the game.

Biggest plus was Hamlin for me. I thought he was very good on debut. Other then him I thought Sam Tomkins and Escare looked really sharp, Leuluai was pretty good out of dummy half and Navarette played well when he came on.

It was such tough conditions that it’s difficult to make too much of a judgment.

In the end I saw the first half hour and the last five minutes.

Annoying thing was, I'd actually bought a ticket for the game, but in view of the uninviting weather, decided that I'd prefer to watch it in the warmth and comfort of my own home. That didn't pan out too well.

Glad to hear Hamlin went well.

Gets stuck in Hamlin doesn't he? Pleasure to watch.

Overall it was a good exercise for fitness I suppose but not much else to say in those conditions.

Saints only beat Leigh by 4, at home and in much better conditions, maybe puts a more positive spin on our result against them than I initially felt, given that many are tipping Saints to kill it this year

We did well tonight didn't we Grimmy ? Ben Barba was quality, other than that they looked nothing special. Obviously our game against you, conditions were awful, and George Williams 'short kicks' resulted in 3 tries. Must admit, thought we'd lose by 20+, pleasantly surprised by the scoreline tonight......Must admit we never looked like scoring in the last 20 minutes, and that was the difference. Last 15 minutes, was just 'knock on, knock on' in dry conditions....NO EXCUSES !
