If the club (as stated above) only take on the £250k annual lease from the council would the club really look to invest on 'world class' improvements? Surely only ownership/part ownership would make this worthwhile.

Based on last night's attendance, the Latics could play some of their home games there and still accommodate their remaining support. It'd also save Mr Whelan some cash on relaying the DW pitch if less games were played on it.
