I feel dirty but I had £20 on Saints to win the GF last week at 12/1 and they're a real chance. There's still some dam awful players in their team but the new coach is getting the best out of everyone and that defensive effort was huge last night.

I think Cas are finding out also that they may need to reign in a few boasts. The loss of only a couple of players has had an impact.

Cas still controlled the majority of the game and it took a monumental defensive effort from saints to stop them,I certainly wouldn't be panicking if I was a cas fan, maybe slightly with their defence but that's it.

Mainly agree, but there was a definite shift in attitude yesterday which looks like they might be on the right track.

I've not been worried about saints for years, ultimately because they've been soft, especially in big games. One swallow doesn't make a summer and all that, but I'm definitely more concerned about them now than I have been for a long time (even when they fluked the GF!)

Team for tonight, same starting line up as the semi, Faz and Ganson replacing Joel and Powell on bench.
"We Need to start running hard and smashing people"

"We are going to be fitter than we have ever been"

"The Culture needs to Change"

"We need to be getting to Old Trafford and Wembley and winning games"

"We will be fitter than we have ever been"

"We will do contact like we have never done before"

"WE WILL DO THINGS THE WIGAN WAY"

The thing is we are not going to be able to stop them which makes it more frustrating. I cannot see us making the top 4 now, winning 6 out of 7 might not be enough and backing up the cup final away at saints will be such a tough task. I would say if we lose tonight we should look at resting and rotating the next couple of weeks, any slight injuries and players should be rested.

Sent a txt to a mate last night watching the Cas game, if Wigan dont win tonight then I would be using the next two games as Cup Final prep, as you posted playing Saints away after the cup final would be a tough ask. The cup break is great for the other six teams in the 8's.

Shrewd move. They have as good a chance as anyone, I reckon.

Brilliant from Sam for the first try and Davies' stock rises by the week! Incredible balance and acceleration from him there.

We're on top now need to keep our discipline and we'll ruin them.

They look dangerous near our line, like you said it's gonna be the team who gives away the least pens that wins this. Our attack looks in a much better place than it did a few weeks back.

At the game and not sure if it's coming coming over on TV but Faz is way way off full fitness. That's the worst half of rugby I've seen the lad play. He just looks like his mind is on his knee and nothing has gone right.

Hopefully he'll score the winner now.

Yea they do to be fair, they seem to be hitting gaps in our line every time someone takes it in. I like the way Leeds play a lot. They run a lot of dynamic lines and their offloads are causing us havoc. But I do feel if we can remember how to keep hold of the ball in the second half and keep the penalties to a minimum, then we'll win this comfortably.
