Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"

I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

RIVERCAVE DWELLER OF THE YEAR 2015!

"The club used you last night and didn't tell the truth."

Outstanding tonight. Has to play.
Last week we missed him and as good as Marshall has been he's not a right sided player for me and neither he or Burgess brings to the team what he does.
His yards on kick return is very very good and along with gelling (and gildart for that matter) and sets a real good platform (and for those that know me this is hard to say but it's something Budgie is going to have to work on or it will be him under pressure when manfredi returns and/or From Marshall).

As an aside Sutton was fantastic tonight and Isa was very good and mccollorum first spell.
Gildart is a class act.

Tom Davies is going to be some player as he puts some size on. I mentioned to my mate at the game tonight a stat that is astonishing which is that he's not a million miles off being the leagues top metre maker. I think he's about 500m down on Walmsley (who is top) in about 10 less appearances! He's a workaholic and on form he'd be my first choice winger.

I tend to agree about the Davies/Marshall issue, but I think it also depends on the conditions and the opposition as to who is the better at any given time. A bit like comparing Offiah and Robinson, perhaps, though not yet in their exalted class.

As far as tonight's game goes, I was a lot more content than many of the moaners around me who were suggesting we should have won by 80. We had just as many missing when we went to their place in March, and we only lost by 8.
Given the conditions, that was pretty good, I'd say.

Tom Davies is the best athlete at the club, maybe in superleague, tremendous workrate but needs a bit of refining. He'd be in my staring #13 every week.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

Not many will agree, but Manfredi is the best winger at the club IMO.

I'll agree on that.

Blistering, strong and safe. Out and out winger. On form he's the best in the country IMO.

Budgie is no2

Hope he rekindles the same form when he returns.

Agree on Davis though. Class act and superb attitude.

With Manfredi (due back in a couple of weeks), Burgess, Davies & Marshall we really are spoiled for choice for top quality wingers at the club, it's freaky really....more so considering Charnley was with us until last season. They just need some quality ball handed to them as all four have masses of pace to burn.

Re: Tom Davies : Sat Jul 22, 2017 12:00 pm
It's a good debate this. Both burst onto the scene v Warrington away when rightly, Marshall got all the plaudits for scoring the tries. Since then both have acquitted themselves very well and showed they are more than capable of handling rugby at SL level. Davies has a tremendous work ethic and chews up the ground from our own half, particularly in poor conditions but Marshall on a dry track looks to have that real wingers try scoring instinct. Despite them both doing well, Manfredi with his previous performances has earned the right to come straight back in when he's ready. He should be given a few weeks to get up to match fitness and then he'll have to demonstrate some great form to keep his place.
