I know we all blamed the venue and kick off time for last seasons poor following for the Cup Semi Final, but with a Saturday afternoon Semi Final at Warrington, Salford have announced on Twitter that they are outselling Wigan.
What is going on ? we have around 10k season tickets, and yet Salford are outselling us ?

maybe so, people may be falling away from RL in Wigan, going back a few years when we just managed to avoid relegation, the rugby being served was dire, yet the crowds were regularly 15-16k for average opponents. Now, its just the finals the majority of season ticket holders attend en masse.

Salford are obviously trying to drum up extra business but for me it's a bit of a non story. Wigan RL supporters have historically been slow at buying tickets up front for cup games (excluding finals), especially when the game is weeks & weeks away.
Wigan's ticket sales will continue to increase steadily as we get closer to the game, whereas Salford's sales will probably drop off (ie. Everyone purchased in the first few weeks).
If we continue to win games and start playing attractive rugby then we will take a good following.

We are voting with our wallets.
Go to a game and watch the usual Shoite served up.
Or
Take your family out for a meal, enjoy the experience and then watch the Shoite on the Super league show later..
No brainer..

Are we talking about the same Salford who get 3000 for a home SL game? I'm pretty sure come game day, we will outnumber them at least 3 to 1.

Speak for yourself, fella. A rare p*ss up to support the boys in a semi final. Bet you come out the woodwork if we get to Wembley though, no doubt.
