I'm not sure he should have been sent off. A fair few years ago tripping was an automatic red but not any more. It was certainly a professional foul and a yellow

Should have been binned IMO but, having been cited, how do you get only one match despite pleading not guilty?

EGP only guarantees the lowest ban in the range for that grade. Without EGP, the committee decides on the ban length depending on the severity of the offence. So, in this case, rightly IMO, they saw it as not a very bad one.

One game is fair enough. Lineham was on the cover anyway, had he not been then you could maybe argue for more.

Given Thalers one eyed display on the day I'm surprised we even got the penalty tbh.
