With 18 start I'd fancy a flutter in Leigh as I expect it to be closer than that. Wigan by 8 points, something like 20 - 12

Potential banana skin. Leigh will be full of confidence after Friday. Although we did well in the last ten minutes we didn't play well in the first seventy, that was to be expected of course. We need Bateman back.

Leigh have been given a difficult start, getting a performance every week is their challenge. Can they perform as they did against Saints or improve on it? Looking forward to the game.

I am too. I doubt I'll be able to make it, though, so may have to make do with the radio. I expect Leigh to be competitive. 22-14.

It's their biggest fixture of the season barring a good cup run. They don't need any incentive to be full of confidence, especially with the plethora of Wiganers and ex-Wiganers in their squad. As much as i would love us to stick 60 on them to show them that the pre season friendly annual trophy is bollox i am fully expecting a spirited performance from the Centurions but i also expect a Wigan win. 30-16. We have far too much power all over the pitch on paper. A lot of our squad players could get in thier side such is the competition growing in our ranks at the minute. That isn't a slight on Leigh though. I like what they bring to the league and hope they stay here but against us i want them to fail every time. Any side that stuffs Saints but loses to us is a good addition in my book....hopefully :D

Cherry, I agree with most of your observations, Wigan will be strong favourites on Friday night and rightfully so , I'm not expecting a Leigh win, however come the 8th June it will be a different story believe me, a case of Remember the Alamo, the game at Leigh will be not for the faint hearted, it's common knowledge I love Wiganers , my wife is from Worsley Mesnes, my brother in law is a Coach at St Judes, but this will mean nowt , we will come to the DW all guns blazing, and probably go down fighting, but beware the 8th June. Charlie knows.

Will not be back against us with something near our full team out at home but don't think this will be easy.

Leigh will have circled this fixture at the start of the season, have got better week on week, have plenty of ex Wiganers in the side and should bring a few thousand fans!

Glad to have them in superleague.

Wigan 20-18 Leigh

Cherry also knows at the LSV it will (possibly) be a different story. All if and but's at this point. Any one of us could be in bad form at that point but summer time is the time we start to click into gear annually. We are the best team in the country and have the firepower in the reserves. I fully expect a few injuries for a few of your senior players come June and could leave you out to dry somewhat. The key to your season is keeping your stalwarts fit and progressing the likes of Reynolds in the process. You won't go down, no chance of that, you have far too much for the best of what the championship can offer. That is a thing in the past for you now. I fully expect you to gradually progress year on year. Castleford are easily the best example of rising from the dead. They have a superb side, thats why i predicted them to finish 3rd but have the same problem you have. Depth. It's a huge, huge mountain in this league to cover for a first teamer. I must admit i was surprised when Armstrong and Dixon decided to jump ship. Probably not so much Armstrong who i suspect maybe is a little lightweight for Super League but what i have seen of Dixon i though he was a very adequate prop. Toronto is a financially good move for him of course but he is 26!! Surely his career now hinges on Toronto making Super League whereas he could have had a good season with Leigh this year and potentially moved on. Short sighted you think Charlie?
