With the rumours strengthening that Wire want to make GW their marquee player, which means that Wigan would really struggle to outbid them, I just hope we're damn sure that Joel (and Sam) aren't finished if we're to continue paying them their very big salaries.

It's not as simple as that though is it? Joel is contracted for the next two seasons and Sam for the next three. We can't just say, "Sorry lads, we need that money for Williams." - Not that I'd advocate that in Sam's case, if we needed to offload Joel to retain Williams I'd do so in a heartbeat, it's a lot easier to find good second rowers than it is good halfbacks.

More evidence of the state of players at the end of the season http://www.wigantoday.net/sport/rugby-l ... -1-8265352 must be a real headache for Wane if he has as many fit forwards to choose from at the start of next season as it would appear!

No problems at all. The likes of Willie Isa has a place in the team by right, he has earned it. It is up to others to perform when they get a chance.
