It is not the point, it s all down to money and Dom has followed the Pied Piper. Good luck to him, I still think he has plenty of improvement in him. The salary cap will allways generate player movement.

Left for 2 reasons. He asked for a silly amount of cash. Wigan DID want to renew his contract. Also he demanded to be a starting prop, something which Wigan didn't want him to be.

Not really too concerned he has gone to be honest, there are a lot better out there. He is another Mossop, a plodding prop. It's up to him though to prove me wrong.

On the subject of Williams. I have heard from a couple of people that Warrington want him on big money (£150,000 a year) but he has just signed a new contract and Wane would rather sell his daughter than sell our best player to Warrington so i think it will be tough titty. I could see Dwyer here, He can't do 80 mins and is an interchange hooker. From what i have heard this IS a deal the club want but doesn't look likely at this stage and the plan is to move Powell to back-up half back.

I am usually pretty good with inside info but watch Dave 'Nosey' Parkey copy and paste this into his next column

Oh and Mossop, not sure who is in for him but there is definate interest and he told the club he was leaving after they gave Bateman 'just' a suspension. Sam T and Flower also challenged Wane on the subject.

Flower? If this has any truth to it surely he should be that last person in the squad to make judgments.

Well said Cherry, I wondered which poster on here Nosey got his stories from.
Thought Bateman got more than "just" a suspension - like a £10000 fine! That isn't small change.
I wonder what Mossop wanted to happen to Bateman?

They embraced after a try the first game they played together after the incident. Don't think there's any bad blood between them.

Now I have heard that Mossop has been given the cold shoulder, but it's not relating directly to the Bateman incident.

Mossop was on the pitch after the GF celebrating with the team. If he is to leave I think it is more likely he has simply fallen down the pecking order with some abject performances and wants to play regular rugby.

Not dissimilar to Crosby, FPN, TT and flower are certainties, Sutton has played himself in and Bretherton is pushing his way up. If they are offered more money (as in the Crosby case) and a better chance of being in the 17 each week then why not take it?

Shame really. Takes a bit of size with him and when he wanted also some real aggression. Was great in the Grand Final, clearly knew he was on his way and played like a lad who would never stand a chance of winning at Old Trafford again.

I think we will realise his quality when he plays for Wire, another one who we had to make a call on and had to let him go despite being quality.

If this is the catalyst for Dwyer to come to us though I would be very very happy. Exactly the type of hooker we have needed for a number of seasons a game changer off the bench.

I was led to believe that there was a split between the "older guys" and the "youngs guns" with ST very much in the older guys camp if Bateman should depart or stay.

Yes precisely. Because he will be in our 4, he's worth a bigger chunk of our salary cap than he would be of yours.

On the training ground after the incident when the club had suspended Bateman and Mossop was resting Shaun Wane gathered the players together and told them that the club had decided to suspend and fine JB. He said to them quote "if any of you think it's the wrong decision and you don't think i have got the balls to sack him put your hands up" Only Flower and Sam T did. How i know that is extremely confidential however it is old news now and i don't suppose it really matters.
