Well, let's put it this way: another recession has been very much on the cards for some time now, and the economic uncertainty and short-term damage to the economy that Brexit will cause (has already caused, in fact), hardly make it less likely. And with Boris in charge...

That Boris has a bit of a James Graham look about him.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.

The market just predictably sh*tting it's pants perhaps? It'll calm down in a week or two.

On Black Monday we were in the EU so why didn't you come over doom and gloom then?
I voted out in 1975 and I've never changed my mind.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

Re: Brexit : Fri Jun 24, 2016 6:06 pm
Sterling was always going to fall against USD, that's what uncertainty results in - why the hell are people surprised by this? For that very reason I changed my Catalan spends last week, not to get caught out.

I got EUR 1.235, which although not great, I thought acceptable. Certainly beats the almost 1:1 we were getting a few years ago, everyone remember that?!!

The rate currently stands at 1.232 so a bit of a recovery from this morning's slide. Hardly catastropic. It will be interesting to monitor the performance of the Euro against Sterling and also USD now that one of the EU's strongest economies is leaving the project...
