I had a go at the amount of imports Catalans were bringing in whilst on the VT but got shot down by a couple of people for suggesting that as the only pro club in France they have a duty to try and produce French players for the national side.

To carry that amount of foreign players in their squad (although again on the VT I got shot down for suggesting Myler or Richards are foreign) is a disgrace in my opinion and isn't what that club should be all about. We're over 10 years in to their existence and they carried more French players in their squad in their first year then they are doing in their 11th year. It's a fantastic jolly boys outing to go over there and experience that trip and I wouldn't change it for the world but they need to get the right balance between having a competitive side but whilst doing their best to develop French talent.

It's probably quite telling that of the current French squad, only 10 are currently playing top flight RL, with only 4 of those at Catalans.

Saw some football highlights from the "tics" the other day , the bowling green looked well knackered ! Think we should complain that the football is ruining the pitch !

Sarginson being in the squad seems very strange to me, after having a quick look at last seasons teams it seems the last match in which he played was the 9th July last year in the Leeds home match.
Some one please correct me if I am wrong but I don't remember him playing in the NZ series or this seasons warm ups so it seems hell of a risk.
The only thing I can think of is that another back is a bit of a doubt which means Sarginson in in the squad as a bit of cover, either that or he has been training the house down up at Orrell.
I shall now check back and probably find out I am talking rubbish.

Hello Les Wiganners.There are 10 French players in the squad-and Casty and Bosc are injured.However there will only be 8 French players in the 17.French youngsters are brought up to focus on attack and as a result very few of the backs can tackle well or catch the high ball. Yaha who will be starting tomorrow-you make the mistake of confusing the team order and the team-is a welcome exception. By dropping Morgan Escare the Dragons have showed that they have at last grasped the reality of Superleague and there will be fewer soft tries conceded this year.Good luck in your Antipodean contest .

To be fair I have been impressed with a lot of the French youngsters.

What has happened to that young winger that was playing well last year? Sigismeau or something. Don't tell me he's been shipped off for Richards?

I will be pleasantly surprised if SOL plays.
If he does I anticipate that Sutton and Charnley will miss the cut.
