Speaking as a Leeds Fan there is much to admire and dislike about Mr Wane. But the one thing, above all that I really think he has got right, is the way he has brought through youngsters on an "if he's good enough he's old enough" basis. It has certainly served you guys well to this point. For the good of the game long may it continue.

I think he does very well...

Sadly some posters here think we should still have NORWEB shirts, and an international in every position.

Nowt wrong with a Norweb shirt, at least it was 100% Egyptian cotton, none of this modern British synthetic stuff.

On the subject of Tierney he still presents the same type of problem as Rocky Hampshire, he is not very comfortable under the high ball.

Are you somehow embarrassed by our history? Very strange that you'd shoot down Wigan fans who want only the best for the club.

Is an international in every position somehow something to not strive for? It's certainly a better idea than the team full of Wiganers that Wane talks about.....

Apart from Manfredi and Crosby I think we've got a team of internationals, not bad when you think about it.

Crosby has played at International level for England Knights.

Surely it's not all that radical to put a youngster in while your first choice is injured? And if Tierney's not the best under a high ball, what better way to make sure he puts in the practice than to make clear he'll be doing it in front of 13k come the start of the season?

I'm sure Tierney will do well, he will be very much like Bowen IMO and I'm sure Mango mentored him last season in preparation.

It also probably means Sarge will start the season injured, though I think we knew that already.

I really wish we could have persuaded Mango to stay another year in some kind of role.
